Validento's own identity verification. Document, face and liveness, in seconds. No third-party vendor. Not a single image stored.
For businesses and enterprises · tailored volume pricing
One photo of the passport, ID card or driving licence. We read the machine-readable zone (MRZ) and recompute every ICAO 9303 check digit: an edited date or number stops adding up at once. We check expiry and sharpness. Sharpness, glare and the MRZ are already checked on the phone itself, before anything is sent: the person knows at once whether to retake the photo.
Nothing goes to third parties: the document is read on our own servers in the EU.
A face scan with three challenges in random order — turn your head, blink, smile — in a signed session that expires. Every frame is checked again on the server, and we confirm it is the same person from start to finish.
A printed photo, a screen or a recorded video pass neither the passive test nor the challenges.
Document face against selfie, passive and active liveness, MRZ, expiry and quality: every signal is a number in the report, and the decision follows fixed rules anyone can read. No black box, no magic score.
Documented, tunable thresholds; anything doubtful goes to a specialist, never to an automatic reject.
Passed, declined with the reason (the person may retry) or sent to a specialist. You get the report in your dashboard and an email — within seconds.
We keep no image at all: only the report with the figures, the checks and the decision.
All four corners in, no glare
3 random challenges · signed session
Fixed, explainable rules
ValiD is Validento's own identity engine: built by us on open-source components with commercial licences, with no KYC vendor behind it. No lock-in, no middleman cost, and a roadmap towards verification on the device itself.
Images are analysed and forgotten. Only the report remains. Processing in the EU, signed sessions, and the verification link exists only as a hash in our database. Each person's consent is recorded, and they can ask to see or delete their data at any time.
Every signal is a number; every decision, a written rule. Your compliance team can read why each person passed or failed, and you tune the thresholds to your risk.
Passports and ID cards from any country, and driving licences from a growing list of countries. And a specialist for what a photo cannot prove.
Pick a scenario and watch the full flow with the result ValiD would give. It is a simulation: nothing is analysed or sent.
Readable document, MRZ with every check digit valid, the face matches and the person is present.
All four corners in, no glare

Send an ID check from your dashboard, on its own or inside a case. The person gets a link; you get the report.
The person gets an email with your name and the reason, and does it on their phone in a couple of minutes: nothing to download, no account to create.
Enterprise clients: create checks from your own system (POST /v1/id-checks), get the result by webhook, or connect it without code through Zapier. A free sandbox to test.
Each verification counts as one Quick Scan: on Professional and Business it comes out of your plan's Quick Scans; on Enterprise, at your agreement's per-check price. Inside a case, at no extra cost.
For Enterprise clients and platforms: create a check with one call, send the link in your name and receive the decision by webhook. Or connect it to your CRM without code through Zapier or Make.

No. Images are analysed in memory and discarded. We keep the report: figures, checks and decision. The verification link is stored only as a hash.
Yes. Before the photo is sent, the phone reads the MRZ, recomputes its check digits and measures sharpness and glare, with open-source OCR in the browser. Only a hash of the document number leaves the phone, as a cross-check; our servers still make the decision.
Yes. We record their consent (with the date and the version of the text) and anyone can request access or deletion at validento.com/privacidad; we answer within one month at the latest, as the GDPR requires. Your clients download their own data and choose how long we keep documents.
Passports and ID cards from any country, and driving licences from a list of countries that grows every month. In the demo we go through the documents your customers use.
They go to a Validento specialist, who decides from the report. We never reject over a badly read MRZ or a photo with glare: that would punish the person for their camera.
For verifying the identity of your customers and counterparties, yes: document, face and liveness, with a report. It is not a regulated biometric certification nor a sanctions screening; other Validento services cover those.
Yes, as an Enterprise client: through the API (POST /v1/id-checks), signed webhooks with the result (id_check.completed) and a JavaScript SDK, or without code through Zapier and Make — for example to save the decision in Pipedrive, Salesforce or HubSpot. There is a free sandbox to try it. Docs at validento.com/developers.
